Boost your credit score for free

0

It is getting easier and easier to improve your financial situation. Experian offers a free program called “Experian Boost”. It collects information to improve your credit rating, which is especially useful for people who have little or no credit history or bad credit. You can now count on paying your rent on time to achieve your score. Experian partners with 1,500 rental and leasing companies across the country to include rent payment information in credit reports. This applies to tenants who pay their rent directly to their management company online or through legitimate rental platforms. Unfortunately, paying rent through third-party payment apps like PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo doesn’t count. Rent paid in cash or by personal check is also not eligible. Experian Boost will review your payment history for the past two years, so there must be at least three recurring payments made within the past six months. There’s even more good news: Experian Boost also includes payment information for other things like utilities and subscriptions. So if you pay your internet, gas, Netflix and Hulu bills on time, those will count too. Click here for more information on the free feature.
